Overview
Dallas Baptist University’s Rogers Theater needed a full AV replacement. The room is a classroom, a lecture hall, a movie theater, and a live production space. The new audio, video, and control systems were designed so a presenter with no technical training can run them.
Limitations
- The old infrastructure could not flex across the room’s four jobs.
- Presenters needed to operate it without calling for help.
- Advanced shows and simple classes had to live on the same system.
The Solution
L-Acoustics sound, including Syva column arrays and X4i modules, a high-definition laser projector with an automated ceiling-recessed screen, and a custom lectern with touch control, a gooseneck microphone, and BYOD inputs. A touch-screen audio controller keeps operation simple. Equipment lives in a wall-mounted rack outside the theater.
