Overview
FM partnered with Howard Payne University to design and implement a comprehensive audiovisual system for their new Outdoor Pavilion. The project included multiple LED walls with custom mounts, terrace TVs, a QSC Dante-enabled audio system, ceiling speakers, and a fully programmed control system. A dedicated rack in the MDF room holds the infrastructure. FM worked with the construction and electrical teams through a multi-phase build. The pavilion debuted at the April 26, 2025 grand opening.
Limitations
- The MDF room changed size and the rack layout had to change with it.
- Conduit and box placement depended on an electrical contractor already in motion.
- A spray-foam phase and fixed dates for a football event and the grand opening compressed the schedule.
The Solution
Custom mounts carried the LED walls. Terrace TVs were tested and integrated over HDBaseT. A QSC Dante system with ceiling speakers covered the pavilion, and a programmed control system runs displays, cameras, and speakers from one place. Infrastructure sits in a rack in the MDF room. Designs were adjusted in the field, and staff were trained before the first public day.
