Overview

Oaks Church asked FM to remake a multi-purpose youth room. The PA moved to L-Acoustics A Series for medium-throw work. Lighting gained key and stage fixtures. Front-of-house computers and the AVL network were rebuilt for livestream. Existing gear — including the SSL 200 and a Road Hog 4 — was kept where it still fit, and racks were consolidated into a secure, climate-controlled space.

Limitations

  • The room has to host more than one kind of night.
  • The budget was real, and finite.

The Solution

L-Acoustics for the PA, an Absen LED wall, stronger stage and key light, new front-of-house computers, and livestream capacity. The Midas M32 and Road Hog 4 stayed in the design instead of being replaced for the sake of a quote. Racks were gathered where they can be cooled and locked.
